  •  Paid summer internship with the Office of Immigration and Naturalization in New York City. See Ms. Suri in room 302 for an application. You must be a U.S citizen. Deadline March 26!
  • The Manhattan Borough President Student Historians Internships: History related internships at museums and other related institutions. Additional information will be posted in early April 2008 as the positions are created. Please check by in April for this great opportunity.
  • Intern at Children's Pressline: This program give kids the opportunity to represent themselves in the media. Year-round opportunities. Call 212 501-1118 or email cpl@cplmedia.org
  • Internship at the The Frederick A.O. Schwarz Children's Center at the Museum of the City of New York: This program is open to young adults ages 17-21 or graduating seniors. Call or email Debbie Ardendo at 212 524 1672 ex 3390 dardemendo@mcny.org
  • Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship: This program gives New York City high school students excelling academically the opportunity to work in a legal environment and learn about the profession. Some typical assignments include: assisting paralegals, filing, record keeping, clerking in the law library, assisting back office personnel, data entry, and document and exhibit organization. All participating students have to show an interest in law by enrolling in a law-related curriculum in high school or participating in moot court or mock trial competitions.   • Manhattan District Attorney's 2008 LEGAL BOUND Summer Internship Program Learn about criminal law and the work of the District Attorney's Office. Available only to Manhattan residents. Resume, essay, and interview needed. Contact Ms. Suri for details or call Ms. Carol Ragsdale at 212 335-9082.

Office of Council Member John Liu Internship: Councilman John Liu’s Youth Action Team (JLYAT) and Political Internship program invites Stuyvesant and all high school students to apply for a Political Internship in New York City Government, available at City Hall in lower Manhattan near Stuyvesant or in the District Office in Flushing, Queens. Tasks include but are not limited to research and preparation of materials for various community events and government meetings, attendance at Council hearings and seminars, providing basic services to local residents, and participation in community outreach related activities. Each position requires 5 hours a week during the school year (with at least 2 days of 2 hours or more) and 20 hours a week during the summer. There is no stipend.
